Italian pres. offers condolences to His Highness Amir on mosque blast
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received Sunday a cable of condolences from Italian President Sergio Mattarella, condemning the blast that hit Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque in Kuwait City Friday.
In the cable, the Italian leader absolutely rejected the heinous terrorist act, voicing support of Italy and Italian people for Kuwait and Kuwaitis in this incident and wishing those injured speedy recovery.
In a reply cable, His Highness the Amir expressed his great appreciations to the Italian leader for the good feelings, wishing him good health.
On Friday, a suicide bomber blew himself up inside the mosque, killing some 27 worshippers and injuring 227 others during the afternoon Friday prayers.
