(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah received tonight at his palace the UAE President's guest scholars, who are visiting the UAE to deliver religious lectures during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
During the meeting, Sheikh Saud welcomed the scholars and exchanged with them greetings on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan. The guest scholars prayed to the Almighty Allah to revisit the holy month and the UAE, Arab and Islamic Nations enjoy welfare, well-being and prosperity. They also wished President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan good health and longevity.
Sheikh Saud was briefed by Dr. Mohammed Mattar Al Kaabi, Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments, about the programme of multilingual events the President's guest scholars will conduct during the fasting month.
The annual programme is being undertaken in cooperation with the Ministry of Presidential Affairs and is hosting an elite group of scholars from Arab and Islamic countries to educate Muslims about an array of issues of interest.
Sheikh Saud hosted an iftar banquet for his guests, which was also attended a number of Sheikhs and senior officials.
