(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Vodafone has jumped to number 23 on the BrandZ list, released annually by Millward Brown and WPP. The global telecommunications giant beat out such iconic brands as Louis Vuitton, Toyota, BMW, Red Bull, Nike and HSBC in this year's compilation of the most valuable brands of the world.
"As the second-largest mobile telecommunications group in the world, we have always featured prominently on the BrandZ list," said Marc Norris (pictured), chief commercial officer of Vodafone Qatar. "We are proud to bring this global prestige and expertise to our customers here in Qatar."
Vodafone also topped the BrandZ list of UK's most valuable brands in 2015. "As the United Kingdom's most popular telecom carrier, we bring the very best of products, services and technology to serve our customers in Qatar," he said. "We see ourselves as the people's strategic partner in the nation's success."
Speaking on Vodafone's journey in the Qatari market, Norris said, "When Vodafone launched in Qatar, we completely changed the game by bringing much needed choice, competition and innovation. We have consistently set new standards since and raised the bar for our competition at every step."
Vodafone Qatar has introduced various ground-breaking initiatives in Qatar, including Vodafone Red, Vodafone Falla, Vodafone Passport and a suite of products and services that are second to none.
To ensure the best quality network for its customers, Vodafone unveiled
its new state-of-the-art 4G+ in May 2015. The move tied in with the company's announcement that it has enhanced 65% of its networks infrastructure making it Qatar's fastest data network with the widest 4G+ coverage.
"As proud as we are of the Vodafone brand's global ranking," said Norris. "Our greatest satisfaction comes from bringing the latest and best services to our customers here in Qatar and all over the world."
