Oman- Home Centre launches 'Share a Table' initiative


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Home Centre the region's leading home retailer is marking the holy month of Ramadan this year with an exclusive 'Share a Table' initiative that encourages a cross section of communities to come together and share a meal during iftar celebrations.

As part of the initiative Home Centre has lined up a series of iftars region-wide. One of the series of such community gatherings was held for children of Association of Early Intervention for Children with Disabilities a non-profit organisation that educates children and young adults with special needs. Hosted on June 23 at Home Centre Muscat City Centre the grand iftar gathered  children and their families  together.

Commenting on the initiative Mederic Payne CEO Home Centre said 'This Ramadan we wanted to encourage people to share a table to spread the message of generosity and hospitality. At Home Centre we believe that special bonds can start at the table. Through our 'Share a Table' initiative we wish to highlight the importance of cherishing family life through such special occasions.'

The venue was transformed to reflect a grand iftar setting with Home Centre's signature Ramadan collection. Festive centrepieces fine china crockery and tableware traditional lanterns and aesthetically crafted accessories set the mood for an iftar to remember. A specially designed three-course meal was catered with special dishes based on the recipes featured in the Home Centre Ramadan Catalogue 2015. The festival ambience was heightened with activities such as face painting and balloon bending that kept the children entertained throughout the gala dinner. A special gift was given out to every child as a surprise element at the event.

Sabah Mohammed al Bahlani CEO of the Association of Early Intervention for Children with Disabilities said 'We thank Home Centre for this gesture of goodwill towards our children and their families. Our children enjoyed every moment of the evening. They had elated smiles on their faces as they celebrated the iftar with their loved ones and made new friends in a completely joyful and familial atmosphere. It is these small acts of kindness that make a special difference and reflect the true spirit of Ramadan.' This iftar demonstrated how the simple experience of dining together can bring incredible joy to people from different sections of the society. Home Centre will be hosting similar such iftars across the region throughout the holy month.
