Five killed in triple suicide bombing in Nigeria

(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Five people were killed Saturday in north-eastern Nigeria when three female suicide bombers detonated explosives in the city of Maiduguri, one of the leaders of a local civilian vigilante
group said, according to dpa.

Two members of the vigilante group stopped the women for a search in
front of a hospital, said the source, who did not want to be named.

The women detonated their bombs, killing themselves and the two
guards. More than 10 people, including other members of the vigilante
group and bystanders, were injured.

The women were not believed to have planned to target the hospital,
but were on their way somewhere else when they were stopped by the
guards, the source said.

The vigilante group had been set up to help the army combat the
radical group Boko Haram.
