(MENAFN- The Journal Of Turkish Weekly) Turkey has condemned Friday's attacks that killed dozens of people in Kuwait and Tunisia.
"We wish God's mercy on those who lost their lives, convey our sympathies to their families and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded," the Turkish Prime Ministry's press office said in a written statement Saturday.
The ministry called the attack in Kuwait "brutal" and said it had targeted the peace and harmony of the entire Muslim world.
"To carry out an attack in the holy Ramadan month shows that the attackers have no respect to sacred values," the statement said.
The ministry also denounced the attack in Tunisia, stating that "those who committed this bloody assault will not acheive their goal".
"Turkey will continue to be in solidarity with Tunisia in fighting against terrorism," the ministry added.
The attack on a tourist hotel in Sousse, eastern Tunisia, had left at least 37 people dead, including several foreigners, and injured 36 others, the Tunisian Health Ministry said.
In the attack in Kuwait on the same day, at least 25 people were killed and 202 were injured in a suicide bombing at a Shia mosque during Friday prayers.
