Sharjah Charity Association implements AED5 million Zakat project


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) The Sharjah Charity Association (SCA) has started distribution of AED 5 million worth of aid to 3,000 underprivileged families enlisted with the association as part of the Zakat project being implemented during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Abdullah Ibrahim Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Higher Committee of Ramadan Campaign, emphasised that the distribution of Zakat was in line with the society's Ramadan projects being organised at the headquarters of the association and its branches.

Al Naqbi noted that the association has set up a committee to distribute Zakat to beneficiaries after studying cases of the underprivileged and needy families. He also extended thanks to donors for the trust they reposed in the association.

He also lauded the efforts exerted by the organisers to deliver Zakat to beneficiaries in the emirate.
