Oman- Dar al Atta'a distributing 1,200 iftar packets at mosques daily


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) As part of Ramadan initiative Dar al Atta'a is distributing 1200 free iftar packets every day at 12 mosques. 

The packets are being distributed at mosques in Wadi Adai Bausher Qantab Amerat Bidbid and Al Ansab.

Speaking about the initiative May al Bayat marketing director Dar al Atta'a said 'Previously we used to set up tents across several places in Oman but since last year we have been distributing iftar packets instead. This is more organised and faster. People of various nationalities come to the mosques' she said adding that each packet costs RO1.500.

The organisation will also organise iftars for children at the Orphanage Centre in Al Khoudh on June 30 and at Dar al Hanan on July 1. Other events planned include the popular Eid Exhibition which showcases products by SMEs and entrepreneurs.

Also called the Eid Bazaar the three-day exhibition will be held at the Al Noor Hall in Madinat as Sultan Qaboos from July 25. The charity organisation will also hold a Qaranqasho show at the Oman Avenues Mall on July 9.

'The Oman Avenues Mall will pay RO1 for every child who participates in the show. 'This money will be used for education of underprivileged children in the sultanate' said May.
