India- W Bengal has formulated new policy for IT, industry, MSME: Mamata


(MENAFN- KNN India) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday said that her government have formulated new policy for IT, industry, MSME.

According to a media report, the chief minister said heavy industry is coming to Bengal and companies like SAIL and IISCO are expanding into the state.

Banerjee also claimed that so far the state's revenue is set to double to Rs44,000 crore in her four-year tenure.

"Our revenue earning increased from Rs.21,000 crore to Rs.44,000 crore in four years. Initially, it was Rs.21,000 crore, then in second year, it was Rs.25,000 crore. Then we earned Rs.40,000 crore and the figure will go up to Rs.44,000 crore this year," the report quoted her as saying.

Expressing her happiness over the financial commitment of over Rs.2.4 lakh crore during Bengal Global Business Summit in January, Banerjee said that over Rs.91,000 crore is already under process.

As per official figures, growth in the state plan expenditure is 311 percent during 2014-15. Growth in physical infrastructure is 330 percent and that of capital expenditure is 601 percent.

She said her government is also focussing on e-governance. (KNN Bureau)
