Hampstead London June 19 2015 – Grace Moon & the Jaguar the indie band whose sound is tinged with the brash orchestral majesty of a classic James Bond soundtrack played an extraordinary concert at the Heath Street Baptist Church in Hampstead featuring a mini-orchestra.

Audience members and local musicians Victor & the Rain Dog described the show afterwards : “A stunning live performance. At times grandiose and explosive at others delicate and insidious Grace Moon & The Jaguar set the church on fire and they did it with style”

Featuring live brass and vibraphone highlights from the show will be available on the band website.

Grace Moon & the Jaguar are making waves with their epic “Vintage Spy Pop” sound and the playlist included songs from their Kananga EP with additional new songs and surprise covers.

Grace Moon & the Jaguar released their debut EP “Kananga” early in 2015 which was recorded at their East London-based Wax Recording Studio headquarters.

The sound was a sonic revolution in the industry as it combined Gallic sensuality exotic melodies and the charming braggadocio of spy movie classical music. The EP established a musical foundation that was both comfortably familiar and yet distinctly new and unique.

The result is an exuberant musical masterpiece that seems apt in the smoky and hip vibe of a London jazz joint. It’s the quintessential reinvention of musical classics for the new millennium.

The band have already started working on their second EP recording which is scheduled for release in the winter this year. In the meantime Grace Moon & the Jaguar are playing in various spots in London while using different lineups and instruments.

On some performances the indie band has appeared as a simple duo backed by acoustic instruments. At other times 4 band members are featured together along with the addition of drums and bass. In some special occasions as many as 7 band members are included in the lineup and the instruments include a brass section vibraphone piano drums guitar and bass.

Grace Moon & the Jaguar live are scheduled to appear in other spots in London. Planned venues include the Alof Excel Hotel The Comedy Pub the Battersea Park Festival the Notting Hill Arts Club and the Spice of Life. The band is also planning to perform in Copenhagen during the Fashion week starting on the second week of August.
