(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The National Assembly of Pakistan on Tuesday approved the federal budget for fiscal 2015-16 after the opposition ended its boycott in the wake of acceptance of some of its budgetary proposals by finance minister Ishaq Dar. The budget has a total outlay of Rs4-3 trillion. In a related development the Punjab, Khyber Pakhtun Khawa and Balochistan assemblies also approved their respective budgets.
Opposition parties decided to boycott the budged session after staging a walk amid lot of ruckus is the house. Khursheed Shah, Leader of Opposition, said the last budget boycott by opposition was done during Musharraf era. The opposite blamed the treasury benches of bulldozing allocations of seven ministries in one hour on Saturday during its walk out in protest against government's refusal to accept budget proposals put forther by it.
