China's factory activity remains stable in June


(MENAFN) China's factory orders showed signs of stabilizing in June, indicating that the economy may be regaining some momentum even as analysts expect further policy support, Oman Observer reported.

The HSBC/Markit Flash China Manufacturing Purchasing Manager's Index (PMI) edged up to 49.6 percent in June, a three-month high \m from 49.2 percent, but remained below the 50 mark.

"The pick-up in new orders was driven by a strong rise in the new export orders subcomponent, suggesting that foreign demand may finally be turning a corner," wrote Capital Economics analysts.
