Dutch GDP grows unexpectedly 2.5 percent in May

(MENAFN) Official data released showed that gross domestic product (GDP) in the Netherlands increased unexpectedly last month compared to the same period a year earlier, FxPro reported.

In a report released by Central Bureau voor de Statistiek, the Dutch Central Bank, the country's GDP surged 2.5 percent in May, increasing from 2.4 percent registered in the previous month.

However, the economic growth in May was better-than-expected, as analysts had expected the Dutch economy to remain unchanged last month from April's 2.4 percent.
