Egypt, British BP agree over LNG supply deal

(MENAFN) The Egyptian government and BP, the British oil giant, has agreed over a liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply deal for this year and 2016, according to official sources, Gulf Times reported.

The agreement entails that 16 cargoes are to be provided by BP to the Egyptian Gas Holding Company (EGAS), which goes against the previously agreed upon 21 cargoes.

"We signed with BP to supply 16 cargoes of liquefied natural gas, that will be received through 2015-2016," the head of EGAS Khaled Abdel Badie said in a statement.
