(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Rumailah Hospital (RH), a member of Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), recently held a celebration for patients, their families and visitors, featuring a variety of fun activities and awareness-raising sessions.
Organised by the Patient and Visitor Service Centre (PVSC) at RH for the fifth consecutive year, the event served as a platform for patients, visitors and hospital staff to gather in an informal, friendly setting and engage in discussions on several important topics.
A number of stations were set up at different locations throughout the hospital to provide visitors with information about patients' rights and responsibilities and answer any related queries concerning hospital services.
The event was structured around the theme of the holy month of Ramadan with activities such as a booth for henna application and a photography booth for visitors, among others. Individuals who visited the different stands were also provided with handouts containing important information about Ramadan and PVSC services.
Salam Amin Nassar, manager of the PVSC at the hospital, was one of the main organisers of the event. She said, "We are delighted to have organised this celebration once again for our patients and visitors. It serves as a wonderful opportunity for us to come together and engage in meaningful discussions with them.
"This solidifies our mission to raise awareness and extend support to individuals who use our services and also helps us use the feedback to continue to deliver the best possible patient care."
Mohamed Younes al-Ahmed, PVSC senior superviser at RH, said the day served as an occasion to emphasise the importance and value of patients and visitors at the hospital and highlight the different services available for them.
"We strongly believe that our visitors play a vital role in contributing to patient recovery. Therefore, we warmly welcome them - with certain guidelines in place to make sure that the highest standards of patient safety and care are maintained at all times," he noted.
The PVSC team at RH provides dedicated service to patients and visitors, ensuring that their hospital experiences are as smooth and comfortable as possible. It serves as a guidance section where patients and visitors can find helpful, clear and practical information, according to a statement.
