Oman- Phoenix Power steals limelight on dull day
Market breadth remained negative as eight stocks closed lower with just three posting gains and nine remaining unchanged.
Share turnover jumped to RO19.77mn primarily on account of the new listing against 130.2mn securities traded.
Phoenix Power was the top gainer on the day closing up by 36.36 per cent followed by Ahlibank (+0.95 per cent) and OIFC (+0.83 per cent).
The Financial sub-index gained 0.04 per cent while the Industrial gauge declined by 0.17 per cent followed by the Services index which lost 0.03 per cent.
Top losers for the day included Oman Fisheries (-3.51 per cent) Muscat Finance (-2.03 per cent) and Al Anwar Ceramic Tiles (-0.92 per cent).
