(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The Oman Cancer Association (OCA) has set up a free mobile mammography unit at its headquarters which will be stationed there throughout Ramadan.

Speaking about the facility Yuthar al Rawahy founder and chairperson OCA said 'Every year we conduct this screening programme for women with the help of a team of experts. The screening programme is available in the morning and evening after the Taraweh.'

The programme is available for women of all nationalities aged 40 and above. The check-ups will be followed by consultation with doctors. In case of complications women are advised follow-ups and further investigations at The Royal Hospital.

This year there will also be an ultrasound machine at the unit Yuthar added. The unit will remain open from 9.30am to 1pm and 10pm to 11.30pm from Sunday to Thursday.
