Qatar- Al Khaliji back with Ramadan donation drive

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) In its continued efforts to give back to the community, Al Khaliji Commercial Bank has launched, for the third consecutive year, a charity donation campaign during the holy month of Ramadan.

For every customer transaction via the bank's debit or credit card, the bank will contribute QR1 to charity.

Al Khaliji's head of Personal Banking, Rana al-Asaad, said this gives Al Khaliji customers the chance to contribute to the donation campaign during the holy month through day-to-day banking activities.

"We have a longstanding commitment to supporting the community with our initiatives and resources all year round. This donation campaign is one of many initiatives during the holy month of Ramadan and carries a special meaning and significance as it emphasis the importance of giving back to the community, bringing forth a positive impact from a collective effort," al-Asaad said.

"It is immensely gratifying to see the real difference our previous donation campaigns have made in the lives of those less fortunate, and this year we're looking at making even greater impact by donating significant proceeds to charity. We invite our customers to join us in giving back by simply using their Al Khaliji cards."

Al-Asaad said the campaign falls under the bank's corporate social responsibility programme, which has extended its scope of initiatives and activities over the past years to support environmental preservation, educational and healthcare support, and other charitable causes.

"With this campaign, Al Khaliji is strengthening the ties between its customers and the community it serves by re-injecting its growth into the Qatari community. Al Khaliji will donate the proceeds to charity and customers are not liable for donation," she added.
