Brush Hill Transportation Company dba Brush Hill Tours (www.brushhilltours.com) a family-owned independent transportation company and the Gray Line licensee for Boston and Cape Cod that specializes in charter and sightseeing transportation for the region has begun its series of tours for 2015.  Last week the Plimoth Plantation and Mayflower II Tour which visits Plymouth Mass. commenced.  This tour is available on Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays through October 25.

 

Follow in the steps of the Pilgrims and "set sail" for Plymouth America's Hometown.  Visit Plimoth Plantation a living re-creation of the small farming and maritime community built by the Pilgrims along the shore of Plymouth Harbor. Interact with the Pilgrims as they go about their daily tasks. Explore the Craft Center where artisans recreate 17th century pottery baskets books and furniture.  Visit the home of Hobbamock the Pokanoket Wampanoag Indian who lived next to the plantation and provided guidance and counsel to the settlers. Then on to Plymouth Harbor to board the Mayflower II a full-scale representation of the vessel that carried the Pilgrims to this land. Built in England in 1957 the ship has been carefully recreated to give you a sense of what the original 17th-century voyage was like.  Lunch is on your own at one of the many eateries located along the waterfront.  After lunch visit some of the other historical sites including Plymouth Rock Cole's Hill and lovely Brewster Gardens.  Be sure to view the National Monument of the Forefathers formerly known as the Pilgrim Monument

Anzuoni Sr. delegated his son Larry to take control of the commuter line. It originally offered a mode of transportation to domestics employed by the large estates on Brush Hill Road in Milton Mass.
