Nigeria LNG exports amount to USD85b in 15 years


(MENAFN) Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Company Limited (NLNG) announced that it has generated more than USD85 billion from exports since its launch 15 year ago, AFP reported.

The company was set up to harness Nigeria's vast natural gas resources and produce liquefied natural gas for export and has also paid billions of dollars in tax for the state, chief executive said.

"For us, it has been a success story. Between 1999 when we came on stream and now, we have realized some USD85 billion from exports of liquefied natural gas to buyers in Europe," he added.
