Digitization in Mena markets to add USD820b to economy

(MENAFN) Digitization initiatives in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) are forecast to add up USD820 billion to regional economy despite looming threats of cyber-attacks, according to Strategy&, Gulf Times reported.

The current digital marketplace in Mena is estimated to reach USD35 billion this year, Strategy& added, suggesting also to establish a central national cyber-security body (CNCB) to help maintain security.

"There is a growing gap between the capabilities of national stakeholders, both from the public and private sectors, and the capabilities of organizations and individuals sponsoring and executing cyber-attacks," an official statement said.
