Lotte E&C wins USD230m deal from Indonesia


(MENAFN) Lotte Engineering & Construction Co., a mid-sized construction firm, said it has clinched a USD230 million deal to build a power plant in Indonesia, Yonhap News reported.

Under the deal with Indonesia's state-run utility firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara, Lotte Engineering will build a gas-fired combined cycle power plant in the Southeast Asian country.

The project will be carried out together with the trading unit of Samsung C&T as well as Indonesia-based construction company PT Hutama Karya.

Construction is slated to begin later this year when the financing part of the contract is concluded and is expected to take 26 months until completion, Lotte E&C said.
