Qatar- Ramadan Sports Festival begins today at Aspire


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The fourth Ramadan Sports Festival will feature 12 sports competitions for men, women and children aimed at motivating participants to stay in shape during the holy month through regular exercise.

The event, which will be launched at Aspire Zone today, will host the opening of Aspire Embassies Football Tournament (Aspire Dome) with a match between the embassies of UAE and Somalia.

In another debut, the start of Aspire Banks Football Tournament will feature a match between Qatar Development Bank and Qatar International Islamic Bank.

In men's football, Doha team will play against Doha Stars for the first match while Cairo will meet BSG.

Six matches will be held on the first day of the two-day American football competition with contestants Mad Camels 1, Good Guys, Al-Fasan, and Mad Camels 2.

In addition, six matches will be held for the first junior futsal tournament at Aspire.

Four matches will be held at the multipurpose hall, two in Aspire Dome where MUKFC will meet Galaxy in the first match while Black Stars will meet Al Ameed in the second match. BMHM plays AG in the third match, and the Flame takes on H Barcelona in the

tomorrow's final match.

All competitions will begin at 9:30pm and will last until midnight.

Now in its fourth year, the Ramadan Sports Festival builds on previous successes. It provides an opportunity for people to do physical activities during the holy month of Ramadan.
