(MENAFN- Gulf Times) HE the Minister of Finance Ali Sherif al-Emadi has stressed the role of Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum in providing a platform for discussing the most pressing global economic issues and how to handle them, including issues facing many of the regional countries.
HE al-Emadi made the remarks during the forum's annual meeting in St Petersburg, where he led Qatar's delegation that included Qatar Investment Authority CEO Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Saud al-Thani and a group of officials from the Ministry of Finance and Qatar Investment Authority.
Launched in 1997, the forum has grown to become one of the main global events, in which representatives of the business sector from all over the world are present.
Over 7,500 delegates are taking part in the forum.
