KSA- Firms asked to employ graduates of TVTC
(MENAFN- Arab News) JEDDAH: Technical and vocational training colleges would focus on the Kingdom's job market requirements said Labor Minister Mufrej Al-Haqabani chairman of the board of directors of the Technical and Vocational Training Corp. He said private companies should give priority to graduates of TVTC's colleges and institutes to meet their labor needs.
The minister made this comment while meeting with Ali Al-Ghafees governor of TVTC and its senior officials at the opening of a workshop attended by principals of technical and vocational training colleges across the Kingdom.
Al-Haqabani also spoke about the project to establish technical colleges of excellence in order to provide world-class training.
There are a number of partnership programs between the Labor Ministry Education Ministry TVTC and the private sector in order to adopt the best practices in training and education and support the ongoing efforts to develop the public education system' the minister pointed out.
Al-Haqabani spoke about another initiative to develop manpower capabilities of every region to meet regional requirements. 'This program will be carried out in coordination with the governorates' he said.
In his statement Al-Ghafees stressed his organization's desire to strengthen its cooperation with the private sector. 'TVTC is working continuously to develop its training programs to meet job market requirements.'
Al-Ghafees said his organization wanted to provide technical and vocational training to young Saudi men and women in all parts of the Kingdom.
