Attracting Emirati job seekers to work at Abu Dhabi Police


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) The Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters has attracted and recruited a large number of high-achieving male and female Emiratis. The police actively pursue efforts to attract university and high school graduates to explore the rewarding job opportunities in various police sections.

Brigadier Obeid Salem Rashid Ali Al Ketbi, Director-General of Human Resources at Abu Dhabi Police, stressed Abu Dhabi Police's keenness to build a qualitative cadre of competent Emiratis to take up important positions in the country's institutions and carry out their assigned duties efficiently.

He said, "This approach reflects the firm belief of the police leadership in the importance of Emiratisation within the policing sector on the local and federal levels, and falls in line with the government's prudent directives to support transformation towards a sustainable knowledge-based economy led by national competencies. It also stems out of the UAE's belief that human capital is the cornerstone of a balanced development process."

He also stressed the leadership's support for the Emiratisation scheme, and its commitment to support all of the police departments to adopt succession planning programmes by conducting direct visits to police departments, saying, "This aims to spread the Emiratisation culture among key leadership positions, and to put this culture into action to reinforce Emiratisation at the targeted departments and provide job opportunities for Emiratis in these departments."

Brigadier Al Ketbi indicated that honouring distinguished organisational units in recognition of their Emiratisation efforts was one of the key supporting initiatives to reinforce Emiratisation at Abu Dhabi Police, and to create a competitive spirit among the various organisational units to further encourage them to recruit Emiratis.
