Kuwait- 'Ministries Keen On Implementing Law Regarding Security Cameras'

(MENAFN- Arab Times) Minister of Justice, Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Yaqoub Al-Sana'e reaffirmed the ministry's readiness to implement law concerning the installation of security cameras in the houses of worship (mosques, husseiniyas and churches), reports Al-Jarida daily.

In a statement, Al-Sana'e noted the entire government is keen on the implementation of the law in proportion to the principle of government solidarity-as the issue does not solely depend on the Ministries of Awqaf and Justice, indicating all ministries are involved in seeing to its implementation.

Last Tuesday, the bill was endorsed in the parliament through a consensus in its second round of discussion, and then referred to the government. It includes several items to be endorsed by order from the cabinet, as per the recommendations of Interior Ministry. Several MPs affirmed the importance of the law during the discussion and stressed the need to include all houses of worship- the mosques, husseiniyas and churches.
