Qatar- QC to launch new edition of business encyclopedia

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar Chamber (QC) is set to launch the third edition of the "Qatari Businessmen Encyclopedia" which documents the achievements of key persons in the Qatari economy.

QC acting general manager Saleh Ahmed al-Sharqi stressed that following the success of the first two editions of the encyclopedia in 2008 and 2012, QC is proud to issue an updated edition for 2015.

The new edition takes a more sophisticated approach to introducing and presenting the elite of Qatar's business community.

Besides, the new edition will have special focus on pioneers of Qatar's business sector and their successful experiences.

"This is an important initiative of Qatar Chamber aimed at promoting, especially abroad, investment in the country as the new edition of the encyclopedia will be available online in both Arabic and English. It will also be available in print and in the form of a CD, and will be distributed among all key economic entities and institutes within and outside Qatar," said al-Sharqi.

He added that copies of the encyclopedia would be provided to all embassies in Qatar as well as Qatar's missions abroad, besides different chambers of commerce. Further, the print edition and CD will be available at all bookstores in the country.

The encyclopedia will include four parts: investment legislation and regulations and the available business opportunities in Qatar; the names and resumes of some key Qatari businessmen; names and details of the elite business community; and a brief introduction to distinguished companies in Qatar.

QC will print around 40,000 copies of the encyclopedia.
