Crisis and disaster management plans for safe Ramadan ready
(MENAFN- Arab News) JEDDAH: The Centre for Crisis and Disaster Management has reviewed the plans for the Jeddah gas plant and its production capacity for a safe Ramadan.
The action was taken under the auspices of Prince Khalid Al Faisal adviser to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman along with the governor of Makkah.
Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi deputy governor of Makkah region for security affairs and general supervisor for the Crisis and Disaster Management centre said that the aim of building a strategic partnership with the civil defense and other relevant sectors is to ensure the performance and coordination between the crisis and disaster management plans.
Col. Khaddran Al-Zahrani Director of the Crisis and Disaster Management Centre said that the contact chamber attached to the center includes specialists from relevant government departments including the governor's office Jeddah Municipality Jeddah Civil Defense Police Department Department of Health Affairs Red Crescent and the Border Guard team.
He said that since its establishment in 1431 the centre has worked to bring problems and obstacles in front of decision makers and leaders from various government departments in order to urge them to take prompt action in any crisis or disaster and to urge them to develop contingency plans.
He said the center provides true and accurate information to the media through its two operating rooms where qualified and trained people work on technical aspects and analyzing data. He explained that it has an event management system which serves to integrate all the systems in one place by linking the civil defense team traffic security patrols meteorology department and the Secretariat in one hub.
