(MENAFN- QNA) Iraqi President Fuad Masum met here today with the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) under Assistant Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General Georgie Boston.
During the meeting the Iraqi President underlined the importance of efforts being made by the United Nations and its support for Iraqi in its war against Daesh Organization, especially the reconstruction of areas liberated from Daesh and the removal of obstacles hampering the return of displaced people.
For his part, the UN official expressed the United Nations' readiness to provide all sorts of support to the Iraqi people, to contribute to the alleviation of the displaced people's suffering and to sustain development in the country.
