Eurozone leaders to meet on Greece Monday


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, Thursday announced that he has called for an extraordinary summit meeting of the leaders of the 19-member Eurozone in Brussels on Monday to discuss Greece.

He made the announcement after finance ministers of the Eurogroup failed to make any progress on the Greek debt crisis.

"It is time to urgently discuss the situation of Greece at the highest political level," he said in a statement.

Earlier, speaking at a press conference in Luxembourg after the meeting of the 19 finance ministers of the Eurogroup, Jeroen Dijsselbloem, President of the Eurogroup, said the meeting failed to reach any deal between Greece and its international creditors on the bailout payment. (end) nk.hb
