(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Saudi Ambassador to Russia Abdulrahman Al-Rassi explained that the role of the Russian Federation is important towards Iran and the whole world, stressing that Russia is a super and important power in the Security Council to maintain stability and security in the world.
He said, 'Russian role is very important as I mentioned, whether towards Iran, the region or the world. Russia is a member country in the Security Council and its main task is to maintain stability and security in the world, and therefore I think that Russia is feeling this responsibility and we always hope and talk with Russian officials on the Iranian issue or other. I do not think that Russia's interest is in the instability in the region and this is certain. '
Ambassador Al-Rassi also emphasized that Russia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia affirm the unity of the Syrian territories, pointing out that the two countries have positive intentions in the resolution of this file as soon as possible.
On Yemen issue, Al-Rassi explained that there is an agreement between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Russia on maintaining the legitimacy of the government of Yemen and Russia has a very important role in the implementation of Security Council's Resolution No. 2216 on Yemen.
