(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) His Majesty King Abdullah II, accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Rania, Wednesday, visited Al Hussein Social Foundation for Orphans and looked firsthand at the living conditions of 125 children.
King Abdullah and Queen Rania commended the efforts and dedication of the foundation's staff in performing their humanitarian duty towards the orphans.
His Majesty gave orders that the foundation's needs be addressed and also ordered the introduction of a solar energy system to reduce energy cost at the foundation.
The King also suggested studying the possibility of applying this system to other care homes affiliated with the Ministry of Social Development in the Kingdom, to ease their financial burden.
Their Majesties toured the foundation's departments, where nurses and mothers in the newborn section briefed them on the children's care levels.
