(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) In Astra Force the Piku star plays a grandfather with great powers and strength.
Amitabh Bachchan says he is relishing the phase of spending time with his grandchildren.
Bachchan who has three grandchildren -- Aaradhya Navya Naveli and Agastya will be seen playing a superhero in the upcoming animated TV series Astra Force.
“We pass the age of youth study university girls marriage wife children... now it is the age of grandchildren” said Bachchan. “A lot of people say the best phase of an individual’s life is when he spends time with grandchildren. I will endorse that... therefore this (playing superhero ‘Astra’) fitted into my mind” he added.
In Astra Force the Piku star plays a grandfather with great powers and strength. “There are two children (in the show) who are twins and they are like my grandchildren. I love being in their company” he said.
“Aaradhya sees visuals (of me on the big screen) sometimes and is happy” the actor said.
When Bachchan was offered the role of a superhero in Astra Force at first he thought the makers were not serious. “When they came to me first I thought they were joking. They came up with a lot of research and it was very impressive work that they had done.”
