Oman- Real estate transactions topping RO292mn conducted last month


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The Ministry of Housing has recorded real  estate transactions worth RO292211518 in May this year.

It has put the number of transactions at 32597 through which RO5791470 was collected as fees.

Dr Ali bin Azzan al Hashami assistant secretary of Real Estate Registry at the Ministry of Housing said on Wednesday that these transactions included sales inheritance property transfers mortgage and release of mortgage.

Dr Hashami also said that 7049 property sales valued at RO149562081 were conducted across the sultanate and the fees collected from them stood at RO4398257. 

He added that Muscat governorate saw the highest number of sales during May with 1413 transactions followed by North Batinah (1336) South Batinah (1140) Dakhiliyah (780)

North Sharqiyah (492) Dhofar (470) South Sharqiyah (436) Dhahirah (423) Buraimi (288) Al Wusta (223) and Musandam (48).

Speaking about mortgage transactions Dr Hashami said that 1943 transactions valued at RO142154821 were conducted across the sultanate and the fees collected from them stood at RO671533.

He added that 61 property transfers valued at RO494615 were conducted and the fees collected was RO9892.

Dr Hashami said that of the 20853 title deeds issued in May 6494 were issued in Muscat governorate followed by North Batinah  (3498) South Batinah (3017) Dakhiliyah (2777) North Sharqiyah (1948) Dhahirah (1415) South Sharqiyah (1253) Dhofar (1200) Buraimi (530) Al Wusta (342) and Musandam (179).

Meanwhile the total title deeds issued to GCC nationals during May were 157 with the highest number being issued to UAE citizens (71). This was followed by Kuwaitis (53) Bahrainis (21) Qataris (11) Saudis (1) added Dr Hashami.
