China's overseas investment hits USD45.4b in 5M


(MENAFN) Official data showed that the Chinese mainland made more than USD45.4 billion of non-financial investment in overseas markets in the January-May period, Xinhua reported.

The figure represented an increase of 47.4 percent in the first five months of the year compared to the same period a year earlier, China's Ministry of Commerce data showed.

The outbound direct investment (ODI) during the first-month period covered 3,426 overseas-based companies across 146 countries and regions, the data showed.
