(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Al Meera Consumer Goods Company has been selected among the top 10 performers among the 43 companies listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange.
Qatar Today's Awards for Business Excellence are given to the top performing companies in recognition of their achievements, encouraging more local companies to take part in the development of the Qatari economy.
"We are very pleased to be among the top ten companies listed on the stock exchange in terms of performance, according to Qatar Today, because this event not only awards the companies on their achievements, but also sheds light on the evolution of the corporate culture in Qatar," Al Meera deputy chief Dr Mohammed Nasser al-Qahtani said.
He said Al Meera's adaptability, innovation and vision enabled it to overcome many challenges and increase its market value, as well as generate substantial returns for its shareholders.
"The Qatar National Vision 2030 is at the heart of Al Meera's expansion plan, and this is clearly indicated by the company's continuous expansion since its inception to make shopping more convenient and enjoyable for consumers, by offering a wide range of products that meet their needs," he added.
Qatar Today's Awards for Business Excellence involves two categories: one which evaluates companies according to their financial performance, and another that awards companies who achieved excellence in business and the economy, and aligned their objectives with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
