(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Ahlibank Qatar has inaugurated its renovated branch in Old Airport as part of redesigning initiative to better reflect the needs of local customers.
The branch, in existence since 1991, has been redesigned to include the introduction of a premium banking area with a dedicated relationship manager and a doubling of the number of ATMs, which are accessible 24 hours a day.
This is the fourth branch opening in Ahlibank's redesign programme which is aimed at providing the most personal banking experience at the heart of the Qatar community, a bank spokesman said, adding the refreshed brand identity is inspired by Qatar's past icon of the oyster shell.
The branch also features the bank's new brand identity with modern technology including interactive touch screens and tablets, designed to enhance the customer experience.
"When we designed Old Airport branch, we looked carefully at the needs of the local community and increased the number of both counters and customer service representatives," Andrew McKechnie, deputy chief executive, Retail, said.
Highlighting the future plans, he said the bank is on track to upgrade more
than 50% of branch network by the year end. "We also have exciting plans to launch new products and services and new branch locations in the coming months," he added.
"Ahlibank is the only bank in this thriving area and we have redesigned our branch to improve the experience for the customers," Hassan Alfrangi, Head of Retail Services said.
Recent and further branch openings and the new brand identity mark a series of planned developments for Ahlibank with continuing investment in branch modernisation and technology.
