Iraqi Prime Minister Arrives in Iran


(MENAFN- QNA) Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al Abadi arrived in Tehran Wednesday on an official visit.

During the visit, Al Abadi will hold talks with a number of Iranian officials including the chairman of the Expediency Discernment Council of Iran Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani on issues of common interests, bilateral relation, the situation in the region, war on terrorism, and the international efforts being exerted to fight Daesh group.

The prime minister's visit to Iran comes in the framework of continuous consultation and coordination between the two countries at all levels, spokesman for Iraqi Prime Minister Saad Al Hadithi said in a statement to the Iranian news agency (IRNA).
