(MENAFN- FxPro) Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Financials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Altri SGPS (LISBON:ALSS), which rose 5.21% or 0.1755 points to trade at 3.5455 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Renovaveis (LISBON:EDPRu) added 2.39% or 0.1520 points to end at 6.5240 and REN (LISBON:RENE) was up 2.30% or 0.0585 points to 2.5975 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil (LISBON:MOTA), which fell 8.25% or 0.1740 points to trade at 1.9350 at the close. Impresa SGPS (LISBON:IMPA) declined 5.23% or 0.04 points to end at 0.81 and Teixeira Duarte (LISBON:TDSA) was down 2.39% or 0.0130 points to 0.5300.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 38 to 31 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Mota Engil (LISBON:MOTA) fell to 52-week lows; down 8.25% or 0.1740 to 1.9350. Shares in Teixeira Duarte (LISBON:TDSA) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.39% or 0.0130 to 0.5300.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.76% or 0.48 to $63.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.37% or 0.22 to hit $60.22 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.46% or 5.50 to trade at $1180.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.51% to 1.1228, while EUR/GBP fell 0.72% to 0.7180.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.32% at 95.37.
