Man who jumped fence, entered White House sentenced to 17 months in prison


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) A man who jumped the White House fence last September and entered the presidential residence was sentenced to 17 months in prison, the Justice Department announced on Tuesday.

Omar Gonzalez, 43, of Copperas Cove, Texas, has been held on on charges stemming from an incident in which he climbed a fence and ran toward and into the White House while armed with a folding knife.
