(MENAFN- Arab Times) The Filipino Badminton Association of Ahmadi (FBAA) opened its 36th Major Conference Badminton Cup 2015 on Friday and saw power-packed matches on its first week with Hankook Tires Team and Giordano Team tying on the top spot and beating other teams with 2 wins and no loss after 19 matches, garnering a total of 62 points.
Six teams namely Hankook (Tribo/Kwt Steel), Giordano (Kwt Steel/Bear), Robinsons Land Corp (HapiPipol), Almailem Tires (Drax Demons), Worley Parsons (United Feathers-Joiners) and Ali CafÈ (BadDiks) are participating in the tournament held every Friday at the Fahaheel Sports Club.
For the overall team standings, Robinsons Land Corp placed third followed by Almailem Tires on the fourth spot. Meanwhile, Worley Parsons and Ali CafÈ ranked fifth and sixth respectively.
