Need To Encourage Kuwaitis To Work In Pvt Sector: Sabeeh


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and State Minister for Planning and Development Affairs Hind Al-Sabeeh has stressed the need for taking necessary steps to encourage Kuwaitis to work in the private sector and establish smalllevel projects, which will improve the economy of the country in coordination with the International Labor Organization (ILO), reports Al-Seyassah daily.

On the sidelines of the inauguration of 'Information System of Kuwait's Labor Market' on Monday morning, the minister affirmed that the developmental plan of 2015/2016-2019/2020 has prioritized human resources and social development through the scientific planning of the labor market and increased participation of Kuwaiti personnel in the private sector with the use of procedures and laws for protecting the rights of employers and employees as per criteria specified by ILO.

Meanwhile, Director General of Central Statistics Bureau Mariam Al-Aqeel said the project 'Information System of Kuwait's Labor Market' is approved as the strategic vision of the State of Kuwait for developing the central database of administrative registers in various authorities. She revealed that there are almost 2.5 million registers which are provided with an electronic link for updating the data as per certain unified time.

In addition, Assistant Undersecretary for Statistics Labor Sector Mona Al-Da'as highlighted the goals and policies of the Central Statistics Bureau in the five-year developmental plan.
