(MENAFN- QNA) Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has met with the US Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, who is currently visiting Iraq.
Discussions during the meeting dealt with ways of boosting cooperation in intelligence fields between the two countries and the importance of further efforts to eliminate the Daesh organization.
Abadi stressed the need to strengthen the global intelligence and coordination effort to curb the spread of "terrorism" and its infiltration into Iraq and other countries it poses serious impact on the national security of all countries.
Clapper and in turn expressed his country's full support for Iraq at various levels, particularly the intelligence side.
