Dubai - The Ministry of Labour (MoL) began its inspection campaign to monitor companies’ compliance with the midday break rule that came into effect on Monday.

The ministry has tasked 18 teams to visit construction sites across the country and report workers found on site between 12.30pm and 3pm until September 15.

The rule is one of the most important initiatives launched under the directives of the wise leadership and Saqr Ghobash Saeed Ghobash Minister of Labour.

The MoL will conduct 60000 field visits to report compliance levels and 20000 visits to create awareness.

The inspection teams will document violations by filming workers on duty during the banned hours and sending them to a special committee for action.
