Oman- 329 workers arrested for Labour Law violations


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The joint inspection team of the Ministry of Manpower has said that 338 workers were found violating the Labour Law between June 7 and 13. These include 286 commercial workers 27 farm workers and 25 housemaids and their equivalents.

The inspection teams caught 329 workers including 116 absconders 199 retrenched workers and 14 workers for other violations.

The governorate of Dhofar witnessed the maximum number of workers violating the law with 119 followed by Muscat with 86. The Ministry of Manpower has initiated legal action against the workers. Also 319 workers were deported.
