Qatar, US trade exchange reaches USD4b in 2014


(MENAFN) The trade relations between Qatar and the United States accumulated a total of USD4 billion in 2014, with Qatar importing 11.5 percent from the US out of its total imports, Kuwait News Agency reported.

The two countries are currently mulling over negotiations over an improved bilateral investment agreement, collaboration in customs and legal documentation of two-sided imports.

Among other issues the two parties are currently discussing are trade facilitation, principles of trade in telecommunications, intellectual property rights, specifications and standards and many more.
