Al Shaqab Racing's Mister Ginoux wins Qatar Arabian Derby in Chantilly

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Al Shaqab Racing's Mister Ginoux trounced the opposition to win the Group II Qatar Derby des Pur-Sang Arabe for four-year-olds at Chantilly racecourse in France yesterday.

Mister Ginoux has remained unbeaten in five starts. The Thomas Fourcy-trained Mister Ginoux took charge at the top of the last straight and stretched away in fine style to win without being stretched. Mister Ginoux was clearly the best horse. He seems to be a dangerous competitor for the best races of the second part of the season.

Julian Smart-trained Gazwan, sporting the colours of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa al-Thani, finished a notable third while Al Shaqab's Al Mouwaffak was fifth.

Trainer Fourcy said, "We have looked after this colt. He proved his quality today once again. He had never raced against Al Mouwaffak, my other horse in this race. Who had a difficult race today. We will need to see him again."
