Expat murdered by compatriots in Qatar

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) A Doha Criminal Court is hearing a case pertaining to the murder of an Asian expatriate by two of his compatriots at an under-construction villa, local Arabic daily Arrayah has reported.

Police investigation showed that the two defendants lured the victim into following them to the villa and then attacked him with pieces of wood and a hammer.

While the victim managed to escape to a nearby road, he was chased down by the duo and hit hard with the hammer. He then died. The accused also stole his wallet, which contained QR12,000.

The investigation officer told the court that the two defendants went to their accommodation after the incident, washed their clothes and put the hammer and gloves used in the crime inside a plastic bag before dumping it in the sea.
