(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Ministry's Zakat Fund announced that the volume of assistance it provided during the past two months totalled nearly QR23mn.
In a press statement issued yesterday, the Zakat Fund said the amount was distributed to eligible people in accordance with conditions followed in this regard.
The Fund underlined that it responds swiftly to emergency and urgent cases and that it follows specific and precise mechanisms to study the cases and applications before providing the assistance, emphasising respect for privacy and confidentiality of beneficiaries cases.
